Darren joined Roundy’s in June of 2002 and is responsible for finance, accounting, and treasury. His staff manages all financial functions, including accounting, budgeting, financial planning and reporting, investor and lender relations and all treasury functions. Darren is also responsible for security and loss prevention, legal matters, risk/insurance administration, merger and acquisition activity and manufactured foods.

Darren is currently a board member of The Roundy’s Foundation. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Business Administration from the University of Kansas.

Prior to joining Roundy’s, Darren was Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Alliance Entertainment Corp., Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Dominick’s Supermarkets, a partner at The Yucaipa Companies, and with Ernst & Young.

Darren’s “foodie” instincts take him to the wine selections in our stores, as he is an avid fine wine collector and always on the hunt for the new and unusual.
