Roundy’s Supermarkets, Inc. is committed to giving back to the communities in which we have a presence.  Strong families are the lifeblood of communities and Roundy's is dedicated to helping through our support of organizations dedicated to hunger relief, the advancement of literacy and families in crisis, as related to intervention and prevention of neglect and abuse.

The Roundy's Foundation and store community initiatives are generally focused on family-strengthening projects for funding. Store programs have helped to supply homeless children with school supplies, collect food for emergency food pantry shelves, and fill Salvation Army kettles at Christmas, among others. Also, the stores' ongoing signature community involvement programs help with feeding the hungry or through a monetary donation to the local non-profit organization of the customer's choice.

The Foundation has been instrumental in supplying hundreds of tons of food to many community pantries in Wisconsin and Minnesota and has supported organizations that, among others: shelter women and children in times of crisis, serve low income and at-risk youth, bring hope and healing to young children who have been affected by trauma, train family empowerment, provide literacy and character education, and train students with disabilities for economic self-sufficiency. Roundy's also matched employee contributions to the American Red Cross Tsunami and Hurricane Katrina relief funds.
