Roundy's Alerts Customers in Wake of Recall of Certain Ground Beef and Beef Products by Swift

Milwaukee, June 30, 2009 - Roundy's Supermarkets, Inc. is asking its customers to check their freezers for recalled beef. Based upon JBS Swift Beef Company's voluntary recall of beef products because of possible E. coli contamination, Roundy's is advising its customers that if they have any fresh ground beef or other fresh beef products purchased from a Pick 'n Save, Copps or Rainbow store with a "Use or Freeze By" date between April 25, 2009, and May 30, 2009, such products should be returned to the store and exchanged for a replacement product or a full refund.

The "Use or Freeze By" date is in the upper right-hand corner of the meat scale label. See the attached PDF for examples.
